Currently, Dr. Noel brings his expertise and leadership
to Queen Hospital in Qatar as Head of the Department
of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, he continues to
provide the highest quality surgical care, helping
patients achieve their health goals and improve their
quality of life and he is also proud to collaborate as an
expert and scientific consultant with the Bariatric

Scientific Consultant
As a renowned scientific consultant, I am actively
involved in training and knowledge sharing within
prestigious institutions such as IFSO (International
Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and
Metabolic Disorders) and ATCMB (Tunisian
Association of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery).
Together with IFSO, the leading international
organization in the field of obesity surgery, I
participate in the development of
recommendations and guidelines. I also
contribute to the organization of the scientific
program of the annual World Congress, offering
sessions on the latest medical and surgical
innovations.At the national level, I work closely with the ATCMB for the development of continuing education
for practitioners. In this capacity, I was the pedagogical coordinator of the first Masterclass on the
multidisciplinary management of obesity, organized in September 2023. This event brought
together leading Tunisian and international experts around best practices in obesity surgery,
nutrition and psychology.
Thanks to my recognized expertise and my extensive network within world-renowned learned
societies such as IFSO, I put my experience at the service of the dissemination of medical
knowledge. My goal is to actively participate in the progress of research and innovative techniques,
in order to improve the quality of care offered to patients suffering from obesity or metabolic
diseases.
Innovation and Contributions to Medicine
Dr. Noel is not only an accomplished surgeon; He is also an innovator. He developed new surgical
techniques that improved the quality of life for many patients. His work has been recognized by his
peers and he has been invited to present his research at international conferences and symposia. A
notable example of its innovation is the development and launch of the BariClip. The BariClip is a
minimally invasive bariatric procedure designed to help patients achieve significant weight loss,
potentially revolutionizing the field of bariatric medicine. Dr. Noel became the first surgeon to
introduce this technology in the Middle East and Europe. He has also been actively involved in
training surgeons for different bariatric procedures. He started more than 12 years ago in France
with different workshops on the management of complications in
bariatric surgery or revision surgery.
In 2015, Dr. Patrick Noel left France to practice in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region,
focusing on a holistic approach to the treatment of obesity while continuing to organize workshops
to present his experience in bariatric surgery.
